November 12, 2025: Raccoon Discovery Night

6:00 p.m. in the Raccoon Exploration Center

Raccoon Discovery Night is an evening designed especially for Oconomowoc area 8th-grade students and families who currently attend a public school outside of our district, a parochial or private school, or homeschool. 

The evening will give you an overview of our community's vision and values. You will also have a chance to meet with staff, administrators, families, and students to learn more about:

• Our career, college, and life readiness vision
• How we live our core values of being grounded in our purpose and values, committed to our goals, and accountable to ourselves and each other
• Programs that support career exploration and college preparation
• Co-curricular, performing arts, and athletic opportunities 
• The enrollment and course request process

Please park in the South parking lot and enter through our Gale Douglas Fieldhouse doors, where our OHS Counselors will greet you and direct you to the Raccoon Exploration Center.

December 2025: Raccoon Discovery Days

Oconomowoc area 8th-grade students who currently attend a public school outside of our district, a parochial or private school, or homeschool are also invited to visit OHS to shadow current freshmen and experience a day in the life of a Raccoon.

8th-graders will join their Raccoon mentor on December 9, 10, or 16 for morning classes and lunch, from 7:00-11:45 a.m.

December 10 & 17: Tech It Out/Check It Out Nights

Tech It Out/Check It Out Nights are a hands-on opportunity for current 8th-grade students to try out some of our career and technical education classes.  While students explore, families can learn more about our tech courses before the course selection process begins.

Wednesday, December 10, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Explore Career & Technical Education Classes

Learn more about classes like agriscience, building trades, business and marketing, digital communications, and manufacturing.  Then try some hands-on learning in the OHS greenhouse, the building trades workshop, the broadcast studio, the FabLab, and more.

While students explore our CTE courses, our OHS counselors will host an information session for families to learn more about the exciting CTE opportunities at OHS and the course selection process.

Wednesday, December 17, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Explore Career & Technical Education Classes

Learn more about classes like agriscience, business and marketing, elements of game design, and engineering and fabrication.  Then try some hands-on learning in game design, screen printing, 3D printing, carpentry, and more.

While students explore our CTE courses, our OHS counselors will host an information session for families to learn more about the exciting CTE opportunities at OHS and the course selection process.

January 14, 2026: Open House & Course Exploration Night

The Raccoon Ready Open House and Course Exploration Night is an evening designed for parents and students to start their journey as Oconomowoc High School Raccoons.  Join us in the OHS Gale Douglas Fieldhouse then explore our main campus while you learn about our classes, experiences, clubs, and athletics, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
