Four Year College And University Recommendations
The University of Wisconsin System requires three years of Math for admission, but it is important to understand that the three years start with Algebra as the first course. As a minimum, students will need to take Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Algebra. (Please check specific college admissions and requirements.) Additional math is recommended, if possible, and may be required for some programs.
College-bound students should consider a high school program that will prepare them for university work. Rank in class, pattern of subjects taken, and results of college admission test scores are factors that admission offices strongly consider. Since each college may have different requirements, it is important to check specific questions with the college. Most colleges require a minimum of 17 academic units.
