Our school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities throughout the school year.  Opportunities range from Lego robotics, Running Club, Student Council, Sports, Yoga, Spanish Club and a variety PTO events.  Please check the school website and newsletters for selection, schedules, and sign up instructions.

Literacy Month

During the month of March will be our Literacy Week for Meadow View Elementary! Our P.T.O and Staff has collaborated to integrate literacy activities throughout the Week of March!  Some of the highlights will include: Reading Incentives, Author Visits, Community Readers, Book Fair, Staff Picks, Door Decorating Contest, Book Bingo and much more!  If you know of any community member or parent that would be willing to be a guest reader please contact our Learning Resource Teacher Rebecca Janny!

Card Smart (Game and Card Club)

Meadow View Students can join the Card Smart Club and have a lot of positive peer interactions and fun! Card Games are excellent way to teach patience and good sportsmanship, motor and listening skills, concentration, and academics. They are also a way to improve family  and peer relationships!

Hola Amigo

Hola Amigo is a lively & interactive Spanish enrichment program for children of all ages! Learning Spanish at an early age builds an invaluable foundation for children! Research has shown that children between birth and ten years of age have a better capacity of learning another language than adults. They have a natural ability, a "window of opportunity," to pick up new vocabulary without making a conscious effort. They are like sponges at this young stage of development, soaking in new information eagerly. Kids just love it because it's fun!

Yearbook Club

The Yearbook Club has the primary goal of publishing a chronicle of the school year by producing Meadow View Elementary School's yearbook. The Yearbook Club is responsible for developing a yearbook theme, options for applying the theme, layout of the yearbook, photo content and composition, headlines and captions, page design using Adobe InDesign and YearTech, and a marketing plan. Involvement in the Yearbook Club offers the opportunity to gain life skills, assume responsibilities and have great fun all at the same time!

Student Council

Meadow View student council is actively engaged in our community! Students share their ideas, interests, and concerns with their peers, staff, and community organization for the benefit of the school, it’s students and the community. They also help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects and school reform!

"Pawsitively Positive" For Good Behavior!

We believe in acknowledging positive behavior at Meadow View Elementary School! A positive identity hinges on positive life experiences! The more success a child experiences, the better he/she feels about himself and his/her place in the world. Focusing on assets and strengths builds a sense of worth.  At the beginning of the day, Mr. Schreiber announces students that have been nominated for a Pawsitively Positive award over the PA system to celebrate making good choices and being a positive influence for our school! Their name is then placed on a Wild Cat Paw and displayed on a bulletin board outside the office!

Learning Celebration

In the Spring our school hosts a Learning Celebration for our students and their parents! It is a time for every grade level to celebrate their learning and show off their academic success! Students share their expertise in several different subject areas! Parents have the opportunity to see firsthand the areas of study and the strengths of their child!
